Change of Scenary is the author’s own process of observation and analysis, a journey that begins with the rejection of her own image and passes through dissociation until it reaches the distortion of the self.

“Going home”
回家 (huí jiā), “going home”, is an ongoing photographic project begun in 2018 that investigates the construction of identity through autobiography, intimacy and the idea of home. Developed between the Basque Country and Madrid, it is structured around the domestic spaces where the author has lived, understood as settings of memory and transformation.

Scratching the surface. Making visible what had stayed stuck to silence.
Arxiu anònimes (Anonymous Women’s Archive) starts from a critical review of a social imaginary built through the patriarchal gaze. Through archive photographs, transferred images, incomplete fragments and latent presences, Marta Fàbregas Aragall questions the way many anonymous women have been represented — or erased — over time.

2nd edition · 39/11 Photo Market
On 9, 10 and 11 October the second edition of the 39/11 Photo Market arrives, officially kicking off the festival. Come to Cotxeres de Sants to discover, share and buy work by creators, publishers and artists who work and express themselves through photography.
A lively, relaxed meeting point to discover new projects, catch up and enjoy photography in good company, vermouth in hand.

Introduction to wet collodion
An introductory wet collodion workshop to dive into the process and get a close look at this 19th-century photographic technique. Over an 8-hour day, you’ll learn about its origins and how it works, prepare the chemicals and learn to handle the lab and studio equipment.

This year the Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona joins the festival’s partner institutions. For this edition they offer a photo talk led by Rafel Torroella and a visit to the exhibition “Barcelona i el cel. Globus, aeroplans i fotografia” (Barcelona and the sky. Balloons, aeroplanes and photography) to discuss and reflect on the beginnings of aerial photography in Catalonia.
Photographic practices and contemporary challenges · Photography day
As part of the Fòrum de Can Basté, this day invites reflection on the present and future of photographic practices. Through conversations, workshops and a round table, we’ll explore the role of research, creativity and agency, reclaiming utopia as a space to imagine new practices and possibilities for transformation.
